Last day in Auckland, and off to Sydney

Good Morning! We've hit the halfway mark in this tour, as many days behind us as ahead of us, now back in Australia.

Soon the boys will be waking up at their Sydney homestay, I'm sure a welcome break from the togetherness of the hostel! We have a full couple of days here in Sydney, with concerts and school performances, so last night was a great chance for the boys to spend time with their homestays in Sydney.

Our last day in Auckland included a trip to the Auckland Museum, where we experienced another Maori Haka. Then it was off across town to catch the view from the Sky Tower, which is like Seattle's Space needle, providing a fantastic view of Auckland from 1076 feet above.

From the Sky Tower, we hopped on the ferry to cross the harbor for an evening exploring teh seaside town of Devonport, where as KSB luck would have it, we found the oldest continuously operating Movie Theater in the Southern Hemisphere, and they were showing a perfect movie for the boys -- in 3-D no less.

Sunday was a travel day, flight #4 of this 11 flight trip. The boys have settled into the airport routine, thanks to Fitz's advice about how to make the most of every moment, especially the ones where we are waiting.

Time to sign off -- as I watch the sunrise over the Sydney Opera House, which is the view from our rooms in the Sydney Harbour Youth Hostel. Thanks again to Oliver for his pictures!
